Albuquerque Issues

The Albuquerque portion of Bernalillo County, District 5, extends from the Sandias on the east to Louisiana Blvd. on the west. It includes the Four Hills neighborhood, and areas north of I-40 to Spain Rd. The northwestern-most tip is at Louisiana and Osuna.

As your County Commissioner, Charlene will continue to:

 

  • Institute effective crime prevention strategies

  • Support local businesses and create real economic solutions

  • Develop mentoring programs to help our students succeed

  • Build an integrated behavioral healthcare system through the Behavioral Health Initiative

  • Create safe housing options for the homeless that lead to successful, independent living

  • Provide treatment and preventive measures to reduce opioid and other substance abuse
